Frank R. James, ID’d as New York subway shooting suspect, previously lived in Uptown SRO hotel

CHICAGO (WLS) — The person recognized Wednesday as a suspect within the New York subway taking pictures beforehand lived in Chicago.

The ABC7 I-Staff has discovered Frank James, 62, lived in a single-room occupancy resort within the Uptown neighborhood on Chicago’s North Facet from 2015 to 2017.

James was evicted from the Aragon Arms Resort in March 2017. No residents who lived right here then nonetheless reside on the constructing.

Chicago police had been seen canvassing the constructing and one other within the space Wednesday morning to see if anybody knew him. James doesn’t have an arrest file in Chicago.

A screenshot from one of many movies was used on an NYPD Crimestoppers flyer searching for details about the taking pictures, and in a single video, he posts a Metropolis of New York ID card from a previous instructional coaching program.

In what seems to be his newest video posted Monday, James talks about occasions when he “wished to kill folks.”
