Fatal crash: Driver dead after crashing into tree in Englewood, Chicago police say

CHICAGO — A driver was killed Sunday morning after crashing right into a tree in Englewood on the South Facet.

The person, 28, was driving an SUV within the 900 block of West Marquette Highway about 4:15 a.m. when he struck a tree, Chicago police mentioned.

He was taken to the College of Chicago Medical Middle, the place he was pronounced useless, police mentioned.

The Main Accidents unit is investigating.
