CHICAGO (WLS) — Easter weekend begins with Good Friday and a number of other occasions are occurring to commemorate Holy Week.

In Pilsen, a long-standing custom of “Residing Means of the Cross” or “By way of Crucis” returns with none COVID-19 restrictions.

It’s the first time the occasion has had no restrictions since 2019, and it usually brings enormous crowds right here alongside 18th Road.

The occasion is now again for its forty fifth head and all of it will get underway round 9 a.m. with the Final Supper reenactment. The procession will comply with down 18th Road by Harrison Park and to seventeenth Road.

You may watch Easter Sunday Mass at Holy Identify proper right here on ABC7 this weekend. It’s going to air at midday, as an alternative of the same old 9:30 a.m. time slot.
