Boy, 5, gravely injured after being struck by 2 cars on Far NW Side, CPD says
CHICAGO (WLS) — A 5-year-old boy is in grave situation after being struck twice by automobiles on the Far Northwest Aspect Wednesday evening.
Chicago fireplace officers stated the incident occurred simply after 9 p.m. at Cicero and Devon within the Sauganash neighborhood.
Chicago police stated the 5-year-old was on the street when he was struck by a purple SUV Jeep that was driving northbound on Cicero. He was then struck a second time by the driving force of a 2013 Volvo additionally driving northbound on Cicero, CPD stated.
The driving force of the Jeep fled the scene, however the driver of the Volvo stopped and stayed on the scene after the incident.
CFD would solely say that the boy was struck by a automobile and brought to St. Francis Hospital in grave situation.
Main Accidents is investigating, CPD stated. It was not clear why the kid was on the street on the time of the incident.
