2 dead in single-car crash on Eisenhower Expressway, Illinois State Police say
CHICAGO (WLS) — A person and lady have been killed in a single-car crash on the Eisenhower Expressway early Saturday morning, in keeping with Illinois State Police.
The accident occurred round 3:22 a.m. westbound on I-290 close to Central Ave on the West Facet, police mentioned.
The automobile struck a help beam holding up an overhead street indicators and cut up in half.
The 2 individuals contained in the automobile have been ejected and died on the scene, in keeping with the ISP accident workforce..
Police establish the victims as Shevonsa Kearny, 41 and Latony Wilson, 39 each of Chicago.
The westbound lanes of I-290 have been closed for about six hours inflicting bumper to bumper visitors.
A reason for the crash remains to be beneath investigation.
