Westmoreland Co. family breaks record for heaviest pumpkin ever grown in Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — An area man has damaged the file for the heaviest pumpkin ever grown in Pennsylvania.

The huge pumpkin was grown by Erik Sunstrom and his household in Harrison Metropolis.

The pumpkin weighs in at 2,405 lbs. and took residence the title of ‘King Pumpkin’ on the Barnesville Pumpkin Competition in Ohio on Wednesday.

Sunstrom informed The Intelligencer that his household spent 30 hours per week over the previous month taking good care of it forward of the pageant.

The pumpkin beat the earlier file holder by simply 46 kilos.
