Let’s revisit a grueling workout that an 18 year old Mike Tyson used to do grow his neck by 20 inches.
This workout technique is called neck bridges.
The American professional boxer had a successful career from 1985 to 2005 and post his retirement from the boxing world his techniques are still referred to by young boxers.
What is the neck bridges workout and how is it done?
In the neck bridges the entire weight of the body rests on the feet and the head.
In this you lie down on the floor and balance the body with your head focusing on your neck. You need to push your feet on the ground.
Neck bridges strengthen the neck which is essential for boxers to increase their stamina and flexibility to take a punch from the opponent.

Tyson used to do neck bridges daily for 30 minutes.
Mike Tyson’s workout routine
As per reports, apart from this unique workout Tyson used to jog 3 to 4 miles a day and used to consume between 3,000 to 4,000 calories per day.
Tyson’s workout included Calisthenics which included squats, tricep extensions, pushups, shrugs with 30 kilos and neck crunches, The Sun reported. He used to do three sets of Calisthenics in the morning and four more sets in the evening.
He was nicknamed “Iron Mike” and “Kid Dynamite” and is considered to be the greatest boxers of all time.
