Forward of the discharge of her memoir, “I am Glad My Mother Died,” McCurdy mirrored on her yearslong friendship with Cosgrove, with whom she starred on the Nickelodeon sitcom from 2007 to 2012.
McCurdy’s new memoir particulars her years as a baby actor on Nickelodeon and the alleged abuse she confronted by the hands of her late mom. Whereas her time on set was typically unfavorable, McCurdy credited Cosgrove, who had beforehand starred on the sitcom “Drake and Josh,” for preserving her afloat.
“My friendship with Miranda has been a supply of camaraderie and emotional help,” McCurdy writes in her books, calling their relationship “completely different and particular.”
Whereas capturing the ultimate episode of “iCarly,” McCurdy writes, she cried as a result of she did not know “what’s going to turn out to be of (her) friendship with Miranda.”
“With Miranda, it is at all times been really easy,” she writes. “Our friendship is so pure.”
Whereas the 2 former little one stars have taken completely different profession paths, McCurdy stated she “cannot anticipate (Cosgrove) to learn” her memoir, a lot of which is dedicated to their friendship.
“I believe she’ll actually prefer it,” she advised “ET.”
