Chris Rock set to perform for the first time since the Oscars

Rock, who has but to publicly tackle the incident, will carry out two standup exhibits as a part of his ongoing “Ego Demise World Tour” at Boston’s Wilbur Theater on Wednesday evening.

The tour has seen a lift in ticket gross sales because the Oscars, with Wednesday’s performances offered out and a crowd of a couple of dozen tv information crews camped exterior the theater.

Rock’s performances come because the Academy of Movement Photos Arts and Sciences introduced it’s reviewing Smith’s actions on the Oscars.

The actor walked to the stage on the awards present and slapped Rock, who was presenting on the time, after he made a joke about Smith’s spouse’s shaved head.

Smith issued an apology on Monday in an announcement on Instagram, calling his actions “unacceptable and inexcusable.”

“I wish to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I used to be out of line and I used to be unsuitable. I’m embarrassed and my actions weren’t indicative of the person I need to be. There isn’t any place for violence in a world of affection and kindness,” Smith wrote.

As beforehand reported by CNN, the Academy’s Board of Governors is holding their annual post-Oscars assembly Wednesday, with Smith’s slap being their “fundamental precedence,” in line with a supply near the method.
