Scott Huff joins Seattle Seahawks as offensive line coach: Report

Alabama football will be looking for an offensive line coach. Again.

According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Scott Huff, who had followed Kalen DeBoer to the Crimson Tide from Washington, is taking the same job with the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks. The news comes after Ryan Grubb, who had also briefly been at Alabama as offensive coordinator, reportedly accepted the OC job in Seattle.

Huff preceded DeBoer’s two-season tenure with the Huskies. He spent seven seasons as the offensive line coach for the Huskies. Huff built his group at Washington into a unit that won the 2023 Joe Moore Award, which goes to the nation’s top offensive line.

Before joining the Huskies, Huff spent the majority of his coaching career at Boise State. He coached from 2006 to 2016 with the Broncos.

Prior to Boise State, Huff had been a graduate assistant with Arizona State. He played his college football at Boise State as well.

The Huff defection leaves DeBoer with two on-field positions to fill on his new Crimson Tide staff. The first chance fans will have to peek in at what the new coach is building will be April 13, when Alabama hosts its annual A-Day spring game at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Fox Soccer broadcast coming to Seattle waterfront ahead of US game

Seattle’s World Cup party on the waterfront just got a little bit bigger.

On the eve of the next USMNT game (U.S. vs. Australia, June 19 at 12 p.m. PT), Fox will be broadcasting live from Pier 62 in Seattle, according to a social media post.

Fans will have a number of options when it comes to watching the US take on Australia in their second group stage match, including from a floating barge, a 70-foot screen and a number of bars across the city.

Former Sounder Clint Dempsey, former USMNT player Alexi Lalas, Rob Stone and Stu Holden will broadcast live from downtown Seattle from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Seattle Storm lose 94-89 to Portland as Malonga scores career-high 28

PORTLAND, Ore. — Bridget Carleton had a career-high seven pointers and scored 24 points, Carla Leite added 20 points and the expansion Portland Fire beat the Seattle Storm 94-89 on Wednesday night in Commissioner’s Cup play.

Leite also had 10 assists. Sarah Ashlee Barker added 12 points, and Karlie Samuelson scored 10 off the bench for Portland (8-9).

Dominique Malonga had a career-high 28 points and 11 rebounds for the Storm (3-13).
