Moscow and Kyiv have blamed one another for the flare-up in tensions, accusing one another of wanting to tug Moldova and Transnistria into the battle Russia sparked when it invaded Ukraine on 24 February.

The small enclave, sandwiched between Moldova and Ukraine, unilaterally declared itself unbiased within the early Nineties however just isn’t recognised by another nation worldwide.
