Italians are heading to the polls on Sunday to elect a model new parliament, from which the following prime minister and authorities will emerge.

However the allocation of seats shouldn’t be as simple as many would possibly assume.

Italy’s electoral regulation combines two completely different programs in a single single spherical of voting: on the one hand, proportional illustration and, on the opposite, first-past-the-post.
