Survivors scream as desperate rescuers work in Turkey, Syria

DIYARBAKIR, Turkey (AP) — Rescue employees and civilians handed chunks of concrete and family items throughout mountains of rubble early Monday, shifting tons of wreckage by hand in a determined seek for survivors trapped by a devastating earthquake.

“Can anybody hear me?” shouted rescuers looking for individuals within the province of Kahramanmaras, the epicenter. In some locations round Turkey, survivors might be heard screaming from beneath collapsed buildings.

In Syria, a person held a useless woman in his arms beside a 2-story collapsed cement constructing as he walked away from the particles.
