Russia reacts harshly after Biden calls Ukraine invasion ‘genocide,’ accuses US ‘crimes’

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov mentioned Wednesday that it’s “unacceptable” for President Joe Biden to explain Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as a “genocide”. 

Biden made the classification for the primary time Tuesday. 

“We think about this sort of effort to distort the state of affairs unacceptable,” Peskov responded, based on Reuters.

“That is hardly acceptable from a president of the US, a rustic that has dedicated well-known crimes in current instances,” he added. 

Biden had mentioned “I referred to as it genocide as a result of it’s turn out to be clearer and clearer that Putin is simply attempting to wipe out even the concept of being Ukrainian. The proof is mounting.”

Biden’s feedback drew reward from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Tuesday, calling the feedback “true phrases of a real chief.”

“Calling issues by their names is important to face as much as evil,” Zelenskyy mentioned on Twitter. “We’re grateful for U.S. help offered to date and we urgently want extra heavy weapons to forestall additional Russian atrocities.”
