Hungary’s Orban accuses EU of blocking funds for ‘political reasons’

Viktor Orban accused Brussels on Friday of freezing EU funds meant to go to Hungary for “political causes”.

In an interview with public radio, the Hungarian Prime Minister accused “Brussels bureaucrats” of suspending Hungary’s EU funds for “apparent political causes.”

“On just a few basic points, there are variations of opinion between the EU and Hungary… and it is for that reason that (Brussels) doesn’t just like the Hungarian authorities,” he stated.

The European Fee had beneficial on Wednesday that billions of euros value of EU funds be withheld from Hungary.
