Caitlin Clark Rocks a Head-to-Toe Prada Outfit at the WNBA Draft

All eyes were on Caitlin Clark at the 2024 WNBA Draft—and her red-carpet fit.  

The former Iowa Hawkeyes player, who was the No. 1 pick this year, had a major fashion moment when she arrived at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on Monday night donning head-to-toe Prada. The 22-year-old athlete sported a matching white double satin shirt and skirt from the Italian luxury label, along with a sparkly rhinestone mesh top underneath and black brushed leather slingback pumps. To complete the look, Clark rocked the brand’s black Galleria handbag and pink-tinted acetate sunglasses. 

“I love Prada. I think Prada is very me,” Clark told GQ Sports prior to walking the carpet. “Prada’s never dressed a WNBA player or an NBA player for the draft, so it’s very fun.”  

The two-time Naismith National Player of the Year was styled by Adri Zgirdea Toth, founder of AZSN Studio. And opting for Prada was an easy decision. “The look is elegant, classic, timeless, with a little extra sparkle, just like Caitlin,” Toth told Marie Claire. “Dressing an athlete for the draft is a first for Prada, and this is obviously a first for Caitlin, too. Both are at the forefront of what they do—it’s almost too perfect.” 

During Monday’s draft, it was announced that Clark would be heading to the Indiana Fever to start her professional career. The rookie athlete made headlines when she became the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer in men’s and women’s major college basketball history. “I dreamed of this moment since I was in second grade, and it’s taken a lot of hard work, a lot of ups and downs, but more than anything, just trying to soak it in,” Clark told CBS News.

The Iowa senior could’ve played another season in the division, however, in February, she shared a statement via X that she would be entering the 2024 WNBA Draft instead. Of course, Clark has already broken a record in her first hours as a professional women’s basketball player. Hours after she officially joined the Fever, TMZ reported that Clark’s WNBA jersey had already sold out on sports retailer Fanatics. Maybe fans will want to cop her Prada co-ord, too.
