The battle for No. 1 in the country was settled on Friday in Kingston (PA).

Nation No. 1 Wyoming Seminary (PA) defeated nation No. 2 Blair in a 27-21 final that was put away in the second-to-last bout. Wyoming Seminary senior Davis Motyka gutted out an 11-7 decision over Blair freshman Mikey Batista at 113 pounds to make the match 27-18 with just 120 to go.

Blair got decision wins from senior 138-pounder Billy Dekraker (2-1 OT), senior 144-pounder Logan Rozynski (3-0), junior 165-pounder Will Henckel (3-0), freshman 106-pounder Vince Anello (11-4) and senior 120-pounder Leo DeLuca (6-3). Senior heavyweight Carter Neves got the Bucs six points via a first-period pin (1:16).

Blair lost seven bouts by decision and awarded Wyoming Seminary (PA) a forfeit at 215. Had the match ended tied, the Blue Knights would have won on Criteria F – the forfeit.
