Tom Claytor, 78, of Moorcroft, Wyoming, died April 14

Mr. Thomas R. “Tom” Claytor, 78, of Moorcroft, Wyoming, handed away in his residence surrounded by household on April 14, 2022, of pure causes.

Tom was the son of Sherman Elwood Claytor and Bonnie Marguerite Wolfe Claytor and was born April 12, 1944, in Lexington.

He attended public faculty in Lexington in his early years, shifting to Plainwell, Mich., and attending CollegeExcessive Faculty in Kalamazoo, Mich., for his junior and senior years. He was treasurer his junior yr and performed varsity soccer. Tom graduated from CollegeExcessive Faculty in 1962.

Tom started a 58-year profession within the electrical area shortly after commencement, working in building, industrial upkeep and mining. He spent 45 of these years within the mining trade, specializing in electrical haul vans, delivering MSHA electrical refreshers and offering consulting companies for patrons. Tom all the time made himself out there for these in want.

Through the late ‘60s and early ‘70s Tom was a world class aggressive pistol shooter, profitable native, regional and nationwide competitions. He was invited to check out for the 1972 Olympic Crew however declined as a result of household commitments.

Mr. Claytor was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the Wyoming Republican Social gathering.

He lived in Virginia, Michigan, Arizona, Nevada and Wyoming. He spent his final 24 years in Moorcroft, Wyo. 

Tom is survived by his spouse of twenty-two years, Christena Britton of Moorcroft. His kids are Tom Claytor Jr. of Kemmerer, Wyo., Tod Claytor of Pembroke Pines, Fla., Tim Claytor of Russellville, Ky., Amy Lockmer of Butte, Mont., Katrina Bears of Gillette, Wyo., Justin Calhoun of Reno, Nev., Chad Britton of Bellingham, Wash., and Kristin Clausen of Salem, Utah.

He’s survived by 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his mom Bonnie Claytor of LaPlata, Md.; his sister Mona Conner of LaPlata, Md.; and his favourite canine, an Australian Silky named Killian.

A personal memorial might be held.
