CASPER, Wyo. — Casper’s annual Jackalope Jump fundraiser was a resounding success on Saturday evening, raising just over $40,000 for Special Olympics Wyoming.
The fundraising total marks an increase from the prior year’s, when it was reported that roughly $35,000 was raised.
Money raised from the event goes toward uniforms, equipment, facility rental fees, travel costs, medals and trophies and much more.
“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, along with the other Jackalope Jumps throughout the state,” Special Olympics Wyoming CEO and President Jen Haines said. “It’s absolutely critical to what we do.”
