High Winds Tonight but Decreasing by Monday
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – As we head through the remainder of the evening, high winds will continue to increase across portions of southeast Wyoming.
High Wind Warnings remain in effect until 8 AM Monday Morning extending from Cheyenne up to Douglas and from Rawlins to Laramie.
Winds will progress as we head through the remainder of the evening and into the overnight hours. Westerly wind gusts could reach 60 to 65 mph at times. Especially after midnight. We will likely see winds linger into Monday, but certainly won’t be as strong. Areas of blowing and drifting snow are still a concern.
Heading into tonight, we will see decreasing clouds. Could see a few snow flurries with some into Casper. Low temperatures tonight will range from the 20s and 30s, with some lower temperatures into Central Wyoming. It will feel chilly as it will be windy into southeast Wyoming. Make sure to bundle up.
As we head into our Monday, sunshine makes a return as high pressure moves into the area. We will see most locations into the 40s and 50s with some spots only making it into the 30 degree mark.
Extended Forecast for Cheyenne – Sunshine makes a return into Monday, with windy conditions returning on Tuesday. Temperatures warm some before dropping a few degrees. Shower chances make a return by Wednesday.
Extended Forecast for Casper – Breezy conditions continues into Monday with sunshine returning. A brief disturbance brings showers back into the forecast by Wednesday. Temperatures will be above normal.
Extended Forecast for Riverton – Sunshine returns heading into Monday. Temperatures warm a couple of degrees, while sticking around. Clouds return through mid week, but precipitation chances stay low.
Extended Forecast for Scottsbluff – Sunshine makes a return heading into Monday and Tuesday. A bit more cloud cover is expected by mid week. Temperatures will be on the rise before dropping a couple of degrees.
