WYOMING – The Wyoming Central School District can move on a $5.375 million capital project thanks to voter approval, 27-17, Thursday night.
The main building and transportation facility will undergo improvements, renovations and additions, alterations. There will be outdoor sitework, including the replacement of sidewalks and asphalt. The project will also include improved furnishings, equipment, machinery, apparatus and technology improvements.
The total cost is not to exceed $5,375,000. The district will use $1,500,000 from the following funds and in the respective amounts: $104,735 from the 2019 building capital reserve fund, $815,939 from a 2021 building capital reserve and $579,326 from a 2023 building capital reserve. The rest, a maximum of $3,875,000, being raised by tax levy.
