Washington State downs Arizona, keeps Wildcats from possible bowl berth

TUCSON (KOLD Information 13) – Washington State topped the College of Arizona 31-20 Saturday afternoon, conserving the Wildcats from a potential bowl berth.

The Wildcats will now flip their consideration to getting revenge towards Arizona State subsequent week. The Duel within the Desert will likely be in Tucson Friday and kickoff is ready for 12 p.m. You may get tickets HERE.

Arizona (4-7, 2-6 Pac-12) has not crushed Arizona State since 2016 and the Solar Devils have dominated the final two match-ups, successful 70-7 in 2020 and 38-15 final season.

Washington State (7-4, 4-4) wraps up its season towards rival Washington subsequent week.

Wildcats quarterback Jayden de Laura had a tough day with 4 interceptions and one landing to go together with greater than 350 yards passing. He added a dashing landing.

Cougars quarterback Cameron Ward ran for a landing and handed for one more within the win.

Arizona opened its season with a 38-20 win over San Diego State, misplaced 39-17 to Mississippi State, beat North Dakota State 31-28, misplaced its Pac-12 opener 49-31 at Cal, crushed Colorado 43-20, misplaced to No. 12 Oregon 49-22, misplaced to No. 10 Southern Cal 45-37, fell to No. 12 Utah 45-20 and upset UCLA 34-28 final week.

The Wildcats host Washington State on Nov. 19 and rival Arizona State on Nov. 25.
