LOS ANGELES (AP) — Putting graduate college students on the College of California have accepted a bargaining settlement, ending a 40-day strike that snarled the celebrated college system. Union representatives stated Friday a majority of hanging graduate college students and educating assistants accepted two contracts to formally finish the work stoppage. Union leaders say it was the biggest strike of educational employees, and it was being intently watched by faculties and universities across the nation. It would enhance the pay by greater than $10,000 for each teams. Some are presently paid as little as $24,000, a paltry wage for costly cities like Los Angeles and Berkeley.
