A person was fatally shot in Northeast Washington early Saturday, D.C. police mentioned.

Police responded to experiences of a capturing round 1 a.m. Saturday within the 2300 block of fifteenth Avenue NE, based on a police report. The block is close to the Brentwood Recreation Heart and several other duplex houses.

Officers discovered an grownup male with an obvious gunshot wound, police mentioned. The person was transported to a hospital and pronounced lifeless after lifesaving efforts failed.
