The Washington Commanders introduced their new head coach, Dan Quinn, on Monday in a news conference at the team’s headquarters. Managing partner Josh Harris and General Manager Adam Peters were both in attendance.

Quinn, the 31st head coach in franchise history, will be the public face of the new regime and hopes to help turn the team around following a 4-13 finish in 2023.

Washington announced the hiring of Quinn’s top two lieutenants, offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury and defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr., on Monday morning. Kingsbury, a former NFL and college head coach, was most recently a senior offensive analyst at USC. Whitt was the secondary coach and defensive passing game coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, where Quinn was defensive coordinator. Quinn said Monday that Whitt will call plays on defense.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
