Minor earthquake reported near Utah, Colorado border

MOAB, Utah (ABC4) – A minor earthquake was reported Tuesday afternoon and it was felt within the Grand Junction, Colorado space in addition to Utah.

The College of Utah Seismograph Stations reported the three.8 magnitude earthquake round 4:12 p.m. Officers say the epicenter of the shock was positioned 31.3 miles from Fruita, Colorado, and about 36 miles from Moab, simply north of I-70.

Officers say an M 2.5 foreshock occurred 16 seconds beforehand.
