For Christmas, I went to Madrid. My good friend there informed me that her 7-year-old granddaughter is transgender and identifies as a boy and desires to be known as “he.”

My good friend mentioned that her daughter and son-in-law, with a purpose to take care of this, have sought counseling each for themselves and the kid. Because the little one reaches adolescence, although, hormone remedies will grow to be a problem. And that difficulty is for the person, the household and the medical specialists. However in Utah, the place political and non secular confusion are widespread, our “representatives” dictate to us.

I considered the tune “God Bless America” and its phrase “allow us to swear allegiance to a land that’s free,” sung by the Tabernacle Choir. I hope that the courts will step in and defend the rights that belong to all of us as Americans.

For 50 years, Salt Lake Metropolis has had filthy air and, for my part, our legislators and governor are once more exploiting a minority, this time transgender folks, as political insurance coverage. By doing so, they will masks being beholden to particular pursuits, together with people who pollute our air.

On December 28, I went with a good friend to the Plaza Mayor of Madrid. There have been hundreds of individuals there, and the children had toys that launch a bit of mild excessive into the air. The sunshine modifications shade because it floats down, and you’ll catch the toy and relaunch it. There have been hundreds of them, they usually jogged my memory of the fireflies in the summertime evenings once I was rising up in Virginia.

I envied the social cohesion of Spain, and realized that in america, a crowd like that may be frightened a few mass shooter with a military-grade assault weapon who enjoys the safety of our legislature and governor.
