Body of missing Montana man found in remote area of central Utah

COLONNADE ARCH AREA, Utah — A Montana man who had been lacking for about every week was discovered lifeless Thursday by a search crew that included a helicopter.

Emery County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned Jonathan Baker, 53, was final heard from on April 7 when he spoke to his son and mentioned he was at Moonshine Wash south of Inexperienced River in Emergy County. When he failed to select up his son in Salt Lake and return to Bozeman, Montana, as deliberate, he was reported lacking.

Search efforts had been constituted of a number of counties in Utah together with Emery, Grand, Wayne, Piute, Sevier and San Juan because the preliminary report that Baker was lacking. Searchers checked out trailheads and different seemingly areas for Baker or his truck. On Thursday when Utah media shared details about Baker’s disappearance, a person noticed a reported and contacted officers, reporting that whereas mountaineering he believed he noticed the truck and presumably Baker within the space of Colonnade Arch. With that data, a helicopter search was despatched to examine the world of the sighting the place the truck was noticed in a parking zone.

 

Baker, deceased, was discovered roughly a half mile from the truck. The sheriff’s workplace mentioned foul play shouldn’t be anticipated.
