SPD: Two juveniles arrested following Greyhound bus station shooting; woman injured

Police arrested two juveniles in connection to a shooting that injured a woman outside the Greyhound bus station in Seattle Tuesday morning.

According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), at around 12:20 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting near the corner of S Royal Brougham Way and 6th Ave. S.

When police arrived, they treated a 23-year-old woman who had been shot. She was later taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

The SPD says K9 officers with the King County Sheriff’s Office were able to track down the suspects. 

Authorities say the primary suspect, a teenage boy, was arrested for assault. A teenage girl was also arrested for burglary. Both were booked into Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center.

The SPD says an adult woman was also booked on unrelated warrants.

Police say they are still searching for the weapon used in the assault.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are leading the investigation and working to determine what led up to the shooting.
