Seattle Public Schools employee charged with molestation of elementary student

An worker with the Seattle Public Faculties has been arrested on fees involving youngster molestation of an elementary pupil. 

Based on courtroom paperwork, 31-year-old Abdi Hassan was working as an English as a Second Language teacher at Rainier View Elementary, and the sufferer was his pupil on the time.

Seattle Public Faculties issued the next assertion in response:

Mr. Hassan has not been working in faculties or allowed on any SPS campus through the investigation into the allegations. As quickly because the district realized of the police investigation, our Human Sources Division took quick motion to droop Mr. Hassan from work and prohibit any contact with college students.  

Mr. Hassan isn’t presently working in any SPS college and isn’t allowed on college property and has not been since November 2, 2021. SPS is cooperating with authorities on this investigation. “

With fees now filed, the district mentioned it’s shifting to terminate Hassan’s employment.
