Oteil Burbridge & Friends Welcome Skerik At Seattle’s Neptune Theatre [Photos/Videos]

Oteil Burbridge & Pals stopped by Seattle, WA’s Neptune Theatre on Wednesday. The Lifeless & Firm bassist was accompanied by his present touring lineup of Melvin Seals on keys, Steve Kimock and Eric Krasno on guitar, and John Kimock on drums. Seattle saxophonist Skerik additionally swung by to hitch in on just a few tunes all through the two-set efficiency.

The band opened with Kool & the Gang‘s “Let the Music Take Your Thoughts” with Skerik on sax, adopted by “Rooster” and “Scorching ‘Lanta”, a music from Oteil’s former cohort, The Allman Brothers Band, that additionally featured Skerik on sax. The remainder of first set consisted largely of Grateful Lifeless and Jerry Garcia tunes together with a psychedelic “Darkish Star”, “Gomorrah”, and “Cats Below the Begins”, plus “No Extra Doubt”.

For set two, Oteil & Pals provided an eclectic choice of songs from the band members’ respective catalogs. Oteil & the Peacemakers‘ “Too Many Occasions” led into Eric Krasno’s “Depart Me Alone”, adopted by Jerry Garcia’s “Run for the Roses” and a canopy of The Band‘s “I Shall Be Launched”. The band closed the present with “Midnight Moonlight” by New Riders of the Purple Sage and “Unconditional Love” by Eric Krasno.

Oteil Burbridge & Pals have only one present remaining on their September tour, which is about to happen tonight, Saturday, September seventeenth at Charles Krug Vineyard in St. Helena, CA. The band may even make an look at Hillberry Music Pageant later this month, and Oteil has two exhibits scheduled in October at Denver, CO’s Ogden Theatre (10/20) and Tempe, AZ’s Marquee Theatre (10/22), in addition to an look on Jam Cruise 2023.
