It was the expected destination, but on Saturday morning, it was officially announced that ESPN’s College GameDay would head to Seattle next week to catch the top-10 matchup between the No. 8 Oregon Ducks and No. 7 Washington Huskies.
When you consider the ramifications that this game holds, and the two teams who will be on display, it was an easy decision for ESPN to make. The winner of this game will undoubtedly have the inside track to a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game, and likely be in pole position to grab a spot in the College Football Playoff as well.

With a pair of Heisman-contending quarterbacks in Oregon’s Bo Nix and Washington’s Michael Penix, there will be no shortage of things to talk about for the GameDay crew up in Seattle.
Unsurprisingly, the news on Saturday sparked some reaction from both Oregon and Washington fans on social media. Here are some of the best from the morning:
This is just Washington’s 7th time on ESPN’s College GameDay and only the 3rd time GameDay has ever been to Seattle.
Washington is 1-6 all-time when on the show, and 0-2 in Seattle.
