Killer convicted in notorious Seattle double homicide arrested in Beaverton after fleeing Washington corrections center

A 21-year-old Seattle man who was convicted of murder as a child is back in custody after police say he fled from a pre-dawn traffic stop in Beaverton and was arrested after crashing his car.

Joseph K. Ta’afulisia was 13 when he and his older brothers planned a heroin robbery that turned into a shooting that killed two and wounded three others at the notorious “Jungle” homeless camp in Seattle in January 2016, according to news accounts.
