Opening of Mt. Davidson time capsule from 1933
MOUNT DAVIDSON, Calif. (KGO) — Ninety years in the past, in 1933, metropolis officers and neighborhood members gathered on the high of Mt. Davidson to witness Boy Scouts of America Troop 88 bury a sealed copper field.
On the foot of the cross, that point capsule was unearthed on Saturday by San Francisco neighborhood members, together with Mayor London Breed.
A few of the objects found had been a bible, playing cards, books, newsletters, and newspapers corresponding to “The Struggle Cry,” The Municipal Report,” “The San Francisco Information,” and a phone listing.
Within the telephone listing, there have been coloured adverts. “Some issues by no means change,” the moderator joked.
Additionally found was the “The Oakland Tribune” comics and an Easter version of “San Francisco Chronicle”
The occasion was hosted by the Council of Armenian American Organizations of Northern California.
