Mudslide prompts evacuation alert in Berkeley Hills
BERKELEY — A mudslide within the Berkeley Hills Monday morning has prompted the evacuation of some residents within the space.
The slide occurred shortly after 9 a.m. within the space of Wildcat Canyon Highway, Middlefield Highway, and The Spiral. Berkeley police issued an alert to residents within the space advising them to arrange to evacuate.
Some have reportedly already evacuated.
Wildcat Canyon Highway was closed between Sundown Lane and Park Hills Highway.
