'Impactful' Storm Coming | Manhunt Underway | 49ers Super Bowl Bound

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As the weekend wraps up, we’ve rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California’s top stories, residents should know that more rain is expected this week. The National Weather Service issued a Hydrologic Outlook for the region, forecasting moderate to heavy rainfall Wednesday through Friday from Napa and Sonoma counties south through Monterey and San Benito counties.

“Impactful storm system still on track for Wednesday with widespread moderate-to-heavy rainfall,” NWS Bay Area forecasters wrote Sunday.

“Stage set for widespread moderate-to-heavy rain Wednesday into Thursday, with lingering
scattered showers into the weekend,” forecasters wrote. “Another round of rain by the end of the weekend.”

In other news, the San Francisco 49ers are headed to the Super Bowl! Bay Area’s team beat the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship Game.

Authorities are searching for an “armed and dangerous” suspect in connection with an attempted murder in the Bay Area.

A man was charged in San Francisco on counts of stalking, child molestation, child endangerment, indecent exposure and possession of a concealed firearm on school grounds.
