Amitabh Bachchan can’t keep calm as Project K goes to San Diego Comic-Con
Director Nag Ashwin’s highly-anticipated film, Project K, boasting a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Disha Patani, is set to make its debut at the renowned San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) later in July.
The exciting news was shared by Vyjayanthi Movies, the production company, through a tweet, causing Amitabh Bachchan to express his elation on Twitter with a reaction post.
“… a proud moment for me .. I never realised how important and BIG this is .. Now I know .. my wishes to Vyjayanthi Movies , Nag Sir and the entire unit for the affection they have given me , and to make me a part of this incredible experience,” Big B wrote.
Amitabh Bachchan’s fans wished his all the best for the upcoming project and congratulated him for the achievement.
Actor Prabhas, who is an integral part of the movie, also shared his excitement about the San Diego debut. “Can’t express my excitement for this,” he wrote on Instagram.
Earlier, the Bahubali actor said he was “Honored beyond words” to have the opportunity to collaborate with Kamal Haasan for the project.
“A moment that will be etched in my heart forever. Honored beyond words to collaborate with the legendary @ikamalhaasan sir in #ProjectK. The opportunity to learn and grow alongside such a titan of cinema is a dream come true moment,” he wrote.
The makers of the movie said, while elaborating the reason behind choosing Haasan for the project, that they needed someone who shadow could “cover the earth”. “There was only one,” they said while introducing the legendary actor.
This film brings together the talents of Deepika Padukone and Prabhas for the first time, creating an exciting collaborative project. Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, previously seen in the 2015 film Piku, are set to co-star in the Hindi remake of the popular Hollywood movie The Intern, originally featuring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
