Wind advisory affecting Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon Tuesday

On Monday at 2:28 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid for Tuesday between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon.

“West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected,” can be anticipated according to the weather service. “Patchy blowing dust may also be observed.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
