Roseburg had the warmest day of the year so far, was the hottest place in Oregon and just missed tying the record high for the date.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury got to 77 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. Friday was the previous warmest day of the year, reaching 74 degrees. With the hottest temperature in Oregon Saturday, the Umpqua Valley just missed equaling the record high for the date. That was 78 degrees, set in 1959.

Roseburg is forecast to cool slightly Sunday, with a high temperature of 74 degrees expected. Monday will warm back up to 76 degrees, dropping to 71 degrees on Tuesday. There is a slight chance of rain forecast for Wednesday with highs cooling to the 60s. Rain is likely later in the week.
