Roads ice over as winter storm hits Oregon
PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The Oregon Division of Transportation mentioned a number of highways together with Interstate 5 had been closed Thursday night time as a winter storm brings freezing rain and ice to western Oregon.

At about 8 p.m., ODOT beneficial drivers keep off highways if attainable, and didn’t have an estimate for when present closed roads would open:
- I-84 is closed in each instructions within the Columbia River Gorge from Troutdale to Hood River on account of hazardous situations attributable to winter climate.
- Historic Columbia River Freeway, east of Corbett, no entry to Vista Home
- Interstate 5 is closed at milepost 200 north of Eugene on account of a number of autos sliding in freezing rain.
- U.S. 30 is closed on the landslide location between Astoria and Clatskanie on account of freezing rain.
- OR 22 is closed east of Lyons on account of a number of automobile crashes in freezing rain.
- There are crashes on US 20 east of Newport and OR 126 east of Florence.
