I’m a public protection contractor in Harney County. The origins of the general public protection disaster could be analogized like this: The Oregon Legislature is the divorced Daddy who owes a giant help invoice to his Public Protection Providers Fee Mommy and the lawyer youngsters he’s by no means cared about. Daddy is manner behind on his funds and visitation time. Now Daddy’s shocked when the results of his years of neglect come again to chew him on the butt, (“Multnomah County public defender scarcity results in prison instances dropped for alleged youngster beater, robbers, DUII drivers,” Dec. 4).

Daddy doesn’t need to deal with this household proper as a result of he thinks the youngsters are unpopular, despite the fact that they’re nice youngsters making the very best of the crummy state of affairs he created. Daddy is aware of it’s going to price him a bunch of cash to deal with this household the best way he’s handled his different youngsters.

He’s even acquired Mommy making an attempt to punish the youngsters by making them justify their existence each month. Daddy doesn’t need to acknowledge these youngsters and home them and provides them medical insurance and pay for his or her retirement, like he does for all his different youngsters, which actually is the reply to the issue.
