Protest blocks traffic near State Capitol building in Salem

SALEM Ore. (KPTV) – A protest has blocked traffic near the Oregon State Capitol building, according to the Salem Police Department.

At about 1:15 p.m. Monday afternoon, police announced that Northeast Marion Street was closed between Summer Street and Winter Street.

They noted that drivers would be unable to turn onto Center Street.

Protests are taking place across the country on Presidents Day, including Portland and Vancouver.
