Oregon State Freshmen Pick Up Wins on Lake Vancouver – Oregon State University Athletics
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Oregon State’s Freshman 8+ and Freshman 4+ picked up wins and expertise on Sunday within the Beavers’ scrimmage in opposition to native foe Lewis & Clark.
The Freshman 8+ opened the day with a victory over the L&C Varsity squad, outpacing the Pios by over 25 seconds. The Beavs then went 1-2-3 within the 4+ race with the freshmen selecting up one other win, this time over two L&C boats and the OSU Varsity 4+.
Oregon State’s win within the 4+ earned the Beavs the Rainier Cup.
“This was a fantastic addition to our schedule and the freshman acquired some nice racing expertise. We went 1-2-3 within the 4+’s. That was enjoyable to observe,” Oregon State head coach Gabe Winkler mentioned.
The Beavers head to Philadelphia for his or her subsequent race, taking up Holy Cross, Penn and Cornell beginning April 29.
