Oregon ranks highly in personal income. Some of its least populous counties, not so much.

Of the numerous divisions between city and rural Oregon, private revenue is among the many starkest.

Folks residing close to Oregon’s largest cities earn almost twice as a lot as these residing in distant, sparsely populated areas. That’s in line with a brand new report from the Oregon Employment Division.

For instance, Washington County residents earned $71,500 per capita throughout 2021, in line with the evaluation of the most recent federal knowledge by economist Molly Hendrickson. That’s probably the most of any county in Oregon and properly above the statewide private revenue stage of $62,000 per capita.
