Oregon opens as massive favorite over Colorado for Pac-12 opener – Saturday Out West

Oregon has opened as a three-score favorite over No. 19 Colorado.

The 10th-ranked Ducks (3-0) welcome the Buffs (3-0) to Autzen Stadium next Saturday for the start of Pac-12 play. It’ll be a showcase game on FOX, and a matchup that should dominate headlines throughout the week given Oregon’s hot start and the general fascination with what is going on at Colorado.

According to early odds from Circa Sports, the Ducks are a 21-point favorite in the contest. The over/under has been set at 66.5.

Oregon extended its nation-best nonconference home winning streak on Saturday with a 55-10 win over Hawaii. The Ducks dominated from start to finish, with touchdowns on four of their six first-half possessions (and field goals on the other two).

Colorado is coming off a 43-35 double-overtime victory over Colorado State. The Buffs looked shaky to start, but quarterback Shedeur Sanders turned it on late and mounted a 98-yard drive in the game’s final two minutes to score a touchdown and the game-tying two-point conversion.

Sanders finished with 348 yards and four touchdowns in the win.

He’s been exceptional this season, but Colorado looked a bit gassed early on Saturday night.

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning will probably be extra careful this week not to provide the Buffs with any bulletin board material, but CU has played with so much emotion over the first three weeks of the season, it might be headed for a quieter week before hitting the road.
