Oregon DMV Temporarily Shutters 10% of Field Offices
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon Division of Motor Automobiles says it’s briefly closing 10% of its area places of work for the following three months as a result of it would not have sufficient workers to maintain them open.
The company is grappling with a staffing scarcity, OPB studies.
To make sure extra predictable service, the DMV plans to switch staff to higher-demand areas, even when meaning shutting some much less frequented places of work totally within the quick time period.
The six places of work that may shut this summer time are positioned in Lebanon, Redmond, Stayton, Sandy, Ashland and Cave Junction.
One other 10 area places of work can have diminished hours: Astoria, Canyonville, Downtown Portland, Heppner, Hermiston, Junction Metropolis, Klamath Falls, Lake Oswego, Lincoln Metropolis and Milton-Freewater.
