Oregon overhauled its secondary this offseason, adding 11 new players via four transfers and seven high school signees.

Several of the freshmen defensive backs showed early flashes of their abilities during fall camp, including Collin Gill, who had a pair of interceptions in the second scrimmage of camp.

The former three-star recruit was considered a cornerback coming out of St. John’s High School in Washington D.C. Gill bulked up to 215 pounds before camp and moved to safety, splitting time at nickel as well.
