Rain expected through southwestern New Mexico Sunday
A flood watch is in effect for much of Hidalgo, Grant, and Sierra counties in southwest New Mexico until 6:00 p.m. Today. Rain could be heavy in some areas of the southwestern part of the state.
If the rain stays south of the Albuquerque metro area, there should be good weather for a mass ascension at Balloon Fiesta this morning.

Rain could be heavy in some areas of the southwestern part of the state. The company plans to launch flights next year, and one of them will focus on the effects of microgravity on menstruation.
Two women researchers are currently training for the flight.
They say they hope to reveal how future space travel could affect hormones and the menstrual cycle, especially over long durations in space.
