Our dear mother, Jean Waters, passed away peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord, surrounded by her family on January 20, 2024, at the age of 97. The family moved to Little Rock where she attended school until she graduated from high school. Jean attended college at TSCW (now TWU) in Denton, Texas and earned bachelor’s degrees in advertising & design and journalism. Denton is where she met her future husband, Maurice. Jean was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother. She was always there when we needed her. She had many friends and was very active in the community and First Presbyterian Church in Clovis. Some of her friends called her “Never-Say-No” Waters. Jean and her family were active members of First Presbyterian Church since 1951 when her young family, Dr. Maurice Waters and infant daughter moved to Clovis.
