Arizona State added New Mexico State transfer linebacker Keyshaun Elliot, just a day after announcing his decision to enter the transfer portal. The sophomore linebacker led New Mexico State in tackles (111), registered 10 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery in his final season with the Aggies.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker made his decision due to the connection and quick trust he was able to build with Kenny Dillingham and linebackers coach A.J. Cooper, who explained the use Elliot would play in a system similar to the one run by the Aggies.

The former three-star prospect hailing from Richmond, Mo., attended Richmond High, but received zero Power 5 offers. Now, Elliot will likely see sufficient playing time in a growing program in a new conference in 2024.
